- All great organizations have healthy cultures. Your organizational culture is simply the way you do work together. For better and worse, it's the sum of values and behaviors that are going to flavor your team. Healthy culture is the cornerstone of great organizations. So strengthening culture, it's going to improve your communication, boost morale, and foster trust. If your organization is like most, you've watched as culture just sort of happen. It's likely you haven't spent the necessary time developing it, and with or without attention, culture is going to grow. Cultivating the culture you want, now that's a bit more difficult. I know because I'm doing it right now. My name is Aaron Marshall, and I'm the chief operating officer of the Santa Barbara Zoo. We're an organization that serves about half a million guests each year with nearly 200 employees and over a thousand volunteers. Figuring out how to do work together, how to be a team, how to treat one another, this is a really big deal. In this course, I want to give you a step-by-step guide to help you build an amazing culture at your company. I'll share how you can get your team on mission together. I'll show you how to be clear from the top, build trust, and establish some support systems to keep your culture growing. Finally, I'm going to give you some boots on the ground strategies for feeding your culture over time. So if you're ready to transform your organization, let's go.
