Send a file summary while sharing with other people
When you share a file with someone else, the context that you provide for that file, is key to their understanding. You may need to explain what you want them to do with the file. Read through it, make some suggestions, make some edits. And you may need to provide a summary of what the file is all about. While sharing a file from your OneDrive document library, Copilot can assist with creating a summary for you. Here's how. Now, we're starting here in the OneDrive app. So, this is the app that you can get to through the browser. And we're doing that, because I'd like to point out to you that, Copilot is available to you in so many different places within where you're working in Microsoft 365. An example of that would be: if I wanted to share this file as I hover over it, it does give me some details.
