Clean data with the COPILOT function

- Studies show that data analysts spend as much as 80% of their time cleansing data. This can be a slow and painful process in Excel. So in this lesson, we'll use the new COPILOT function to quickly clean messy data. (graphic whooshing) So in this first example, we have this column of dates, and they're very messy. They're all in different formats, and Excel does not recognize these all as dates. We need to convert them into date data types so we can do some analysis on them. So for this, we're going to use the COPILOT function. Here, I'm gonna type =, start typing COPILOT, we'll tab into that. COPILOT really has two main arguments. The first is the prompt part, and this is where we can type in our prompt in quotation marks. So I'm gonna ask it to convert these dates into the month, day, year format.
