How Copilot prompting works

- [Instructor] Here's how Copilot works. You interact with Copilot directly within your communications or your files to perform tasks such as generating content, rewriting content, summarizing content, or performing analysis of data. The instruction or question is known as a prompt, and it can be written as a natural language question or an instruction, just like you might ask or inform me about. You can ask Copilot, for example, you can ask, "Show a suggestion for a formula column." Copilot analyzes the content and returns with a suggested column formula, and provides a button to insert the column formula. The quality of the response that you get from Copilot depends on how detailed your question or instruction is. You'll want to make sure that you ground your instruction or question with all the necessary details to get a more accurate response from Copilot.
