- When should you use a particular mobile device? There are many different situations where a particular device might work better than another. Which device you need could depend on your location, your computing needs, or maybe even size. Laptops for instance. They're full-featured computers that you can use while you are traveling or away from a desktop computer. You usually have the same capabilities with a few exceptions. You can also plug them into peripherals, such as printers, mice, keyboards, et cetera. But you, again, can take them wherever you go without having to carry all those devices with you. Laptops are going to make you feel just like you're sitting at your desk back home or at the office. Now, a tablet meets some of the features of a computer like internet and documenting, but they can be used when you need a smaller device because of limited space, such as when, you know, traveling like on a plane or a train, et cetera.
