- In this segment, we're going to cover some essential security topics such as social engineering attacks, identifying malicious content and best practices for securing devices. We'll also talk about keeping your system clean from unwanted or malicious software. First, let's talk about social engineering. This is a common tactic used by attackers to trick people into revealing confidential information or performing unsafe actions. Phishing, which is getting much more well known by individuals, is one of the most widespread forms where attackers send fake emails or messages to get you to click on a malicious link. This is absolutely social engineering at its best. Now, pretexting or impersonation involves someone pretending to be a trusted individual to obtain that information, and this happens quite frequently in phishing attacks or social engineering attacks.
