- [Instructor] In order to understand public cloud storage better, let's take a look at one of the most popular cloud storage systems, those storage systems from AWS or Amazon Web services. This does not mean that we're recommending AWS, just using it as an example. You'll find that other public cloud storage systems work much the same and most of the concepts are the same. Let's get started. In our first function, let's look at how we allocate storage resources in AWS. We have a few types of primitive storage systems we can utilize, including the storage systems listed under storage from the AWS dashboard. Also note, you can access databases from here as well, or hundreds of other types of cloud services, for that matter.
