- [Instructor] OpenStack places significant emphasis on security to ensure the protection of sensitive data and infrastructure. OpenStack uses the modular architecture and security features, as well as provides organizations with tools to secure their cloud environments. One important aspect of OpenStack security is the access control mechanisms. This includes role-based control, or RBAC, or R-B-A-C. RBAC allows administrators to define and manage user roles and permissions. We'll find that this is a common security feature found across many private and public clouds. This technology ensures that only authorized users can access specific resources and operations within the OpenStack cloud environment. Additionally, OpenStack incorporates encryption capabilities. It supports encryption at rest for stored data and encryption and transit for data communications between components such as databases to applications.…
