This is possible through something called virtualization, and it's transforming the way we use technology. Virtualization is the process of creating a virtual version of something, such as an operating system, server, storage device, or network resource. In short, virtualization works by abstracting the physical resources and presenting them in a virtualized form, which lets multiple virtual instances run independently on a single physical machine. A single physical resource or application can be shared among multiple customers and organizations simultaneously. Imagine virtualization as a multi storage parking garage.
