- [Instructor] Performance and capacity monitoring are crucial operations task in any technology environment. Cloud computing operations are no exception. Let's talk about this from two perspectives, that of the cloud service provider and that of the customer. From a cloud service provider perspective, performance and capacity monitoring operations are essentially the same as those in any large data center but with an added twist. The computing resources are shared among many different customers. This multi-tenancy model makes it crucial to manage capacity and performance in a manner that's transparent to the customer. Customers should never need to worry about what underlying hardware is supporting their workloads and the operation center should seamlessly rebalance operations to make everything run more efficiently.
