- [Narrator] Not all categories can perform equally in sales. Some products, teams, or segments outperform the rest. So how do you know who or what is driving the most revenue? That's where categorical analysis comes in. This is the process of breaking down your sales data into different categories such as product, salesperson or region, and then comparing performance. It helps you identify top performers as well as areas that need improvement or special attention. Looking only at total sales is a good starting point, but it won't show you where sales are coming from or where to focus your efforts. With categorical analysis, you can easily answer questions like which product category brings in the most revenue, which region leads in sales, and which salesperson is excelling.
