- [Instructor] It's rare, but because WordPress compiles many chunks of software written by different developers, sometimes these programs come into conflict with each other. Plugins and themes contain a lot of scripts, and styles, and commands, and as you install more software, you might find that they cause issues or contradict with each other or just mess up how things look. Examples of when you'll need to troubleshoot a plugin or theme include the plugin is not working the way that it used to, or is failing completely, you're seeing code on the front end of the site that has the name of the plugin in it. The plugin or the theme is not saving when you make changes. Or the theme is looking broken or not showing certain sections.
