- Before you begin creating your products, take time to choose your store settings so nothing gets overlooked before you start selling. You can use a staging or a development site. Play with and test these settings in order to customize your store down to the detail. Three of the most important settings are going to be shipping, tax, and emails. First we'll look at shipping. Go to WooCommerce, Settings, and then the Shipping tab. Here you can determine a shipping zone, which determines what shipping methods are offered in which geographic regions. For example, if you want to charge one shipping price to customers in the US and another price to customers in Europe, you can create two zones, one for each, and then set different shipping methods per zone.
