How to choose a skills architecture
- [Instructor] Now that you know what the skill is let's talk about skills architecture. This is a way of organizing skills to offer better visibility into the execution of business capabilities by employees. There are two common approaches to define the relationships with skills architecture. The first is a taxonomy, put simply a taxonomy is a structured way to organize skills data hierarchically and formally. A skills taxonomy is a classification system that can categorize skills and skill custers or groups, does typically include skills that are most essential to the business rather than every single skill possible. Taxonomies require unambiguous definitions of these essential skills within the overall framework.
