- [Narrator] So now we know that the blockchain ecosystem has an enormous attack surface and can be breached due to a variety of threats. Such threats can emerge from traditional and well-known attack vectors, or due to a new breed of attacks, unique to blockchain. We can now appreciate the complexity of efforts that will be required to keep it all protected. Therefore, we need a structured approach to security. We are going to apply a four factor security model. Each factor comprises of a set of security controls that works to protect this ecosystem. Let's take a quick look at them. The rest of the course will be a deep dive into each of these factors. The first factor is all about securing the foundations of the blockchain.
