Real-world AI applications
- Let's discuss some real-world examples of AI applications. Our first example is computer vision. And our scenario for this is looking at autonomous vehicles. They use computer vision to interpret and navigate their environment. And they're going to rely on a combination of sensors and cameras and AI algorithms in order to perceive the world around them and respond accordingly. And so if we define a workflow for this that starts with data capture and includes image processing, environmental understanding, decision-making, as well as navigation and control, you can see that four out of the five of these are great use cases for different types of AI. We would not use the same AI for all of them. A second example is speech recognition using natural language processing. And our scenario here is in the context of virtual assistants, which use NLP to understand and respond to user queries using natural language.
