- [Lecturer] A few videos ago you were introduced to the special grips found on Civil 3D alignments. Now we're going to explore these different grips and discover what each one does. I'll zoom into my drawing and I'll select the Jordan Court alignment. And you can see there are quite a few grips to look at and study to see what their different behaviors are. I'm going to zoom into this curve and we'll start with this upright triangular grip here. You'll notice it's located where one tangent intersects with the other. That's the point of intersection, or PI point. And this grip lets us move the PI to a different location, and you can see that as we do, it changes the location of the curve and causes the tangents connected to the curve to move around as well. To make this work a little more smoothly, I'm going to come down here and turn off my object snap and my polar setting. I'll press escape to deselect that grip, and let's talk about the grips out here at either end of the curve. If…
