- [Instructor] Parcels can be edited like AutoCAD lines and arcs as long as you use the commands that Civil 3D provides. Let's take a look at how that works. To begin, I want to zoom into this farm property area, and if we look at the top end here, we see a very small triangular parcel that's been created as a result of some intersecting parcel segments. If I click the property 26 label, you can see the shape of the parcel outline. That little parcel really doesn't do anyone any good, so let's get rid of it. Now you might think let's just use the AutoCAD trim command and we can trim one of these pieces away and get rid of that triangular parcel. Well, if you try to do that, in fact, I'll go ahead and try for you. If I launch the trim command and select one of the parcel segments, it simply doesn't recognize them. The AutoCAD trim command simply can't work with parcel objects, but the good news is that Civil 3D has some commands that do work with parcel objects. To get access to those,…
