Edit a gravity network using the editing tools

- [Narrator] Civil 3D provides some specific tools in the ribbon for editing pipe networks. Let's take a look at how they work. The first area we want to look at is this storm pipe that crosses through several lots in our development. We certainly don't want a storm pipe that's encroaching that far onto the lots or maybe even existing under one of the buildings, one of the homes that's built on these lots. So we're going to add a manhole and we're going to move that manhole over to the center of this red circle to get the storm pipes within the right of way of the road. So to do that, I'll select the pipe and I'll click Edit Pipe Network. That's going to bring the network layout tools toolbar up, which you may recognize is the same one that we use to lay it out in the first place. Just like we did before, we'll set the default structure and pipe size. So for structure, I'm going to pick under cylindrical junction structure, a storm manhole, and for the pipe I'll select 24 inch pipe…
