Edit a gravity network using grips

- [Instructor] Now that you've learned how to create pipe networks in both plan and profile, it's time to start looking at editing them. We'll begin with editing them graphically using grips. To get started, I'll zoom into this first manhole that we created, and you'll notice that it's a little bit out of rotation. It's not parallel with the road. So to fix that, I'll click the inlet, and then I'll click the one across from it. And the reason I'm doing that is I want to steal this grip. There's a convenient trick we can use here. Next, I'll click the circular grip for the first inlet. And you'll notice that I can use this to rotate the inlet. To set the alignment that I want, I'm going to come across the road and let my crosshairs snap into that grip. And because this inlet is across from the road at exactly 90 degrees, it gives us a handy way to set the alignment.
