Create feature lines

Create feature lines

- [Instructor] Now, that you know a little bit about feature lines, let's create a few. We'll use them to do some lot grading for one of the lots in our subdivision. We want to focus in on lot 25 and I'll zoom into it in this large viewport on the left. And here's the basic gist of what we want to do. At the front of the lot, we want to tie into the finished ground elevations of the corridor of the road design. And at the back of the lot, we want to tie into existing elevations. So, to get started, I'm going to extract a feature line along the edge of the corridor, so we can establish those elevations in the drawing in a way that we can work with. So, from the feature lines drop-down, I'll pick Create Feature Line from Corridor. It's asking me to select the corridor feature line. And if I zoom in more closely, you can see that as I hover over each feature line in the corridor, it's telling me which codes are assigned to that feature line.
