- [Narrator] Welcome to another AutoCAD tip and trick video. And what we're going to be taking a look at today is the rotate reference tool that is available to you in AutoCAD. It's a really neat little feature that allows you to specify a reference angle when you're rotating objects. Now, sometimes the objects in your drawing might need to be rotated to a line with a wall or a door or a window or something similar. What we're going to look at is some room numbers in a floor plan. The floor plan is the drawing 436 Rotate Reference.dwg and you can download it from the library to follow along with the video. When you open up the drawing, you'll see the overall floor plan and you're in the model tab. Zoom into the top left corner of the area of the office space and you'll see there's various offices available. We will be looking at Laura, Robert, Rudolph, and Stephanie. And what we're going to look at there is a little bit of rotate reference with their room numbers. So let's start with…
