Use geometry on layers

- [Instructor] We're staying in our drawing, Robot 001, and what I want to talk about now is drawing geometry on layers. Now, this is what you normally do in AutoCAD but there's a different workflow and process in AutoCAD Mechanical. So go to the home tab on your ribbon and in your layers panel, you can click on this fly out here like so and what this allows you to do is pick appropriate AutoCAD Mechanical objects and it will decide on what layer the geometry's going to go on, so if I select center line for example, it now puts me onto layer AM_7. Let's just jump into the layer manager a moment and have a look. AM_7 is now the current drafting layer, because I clicked on it in that drop down menu, and as you can see there, it's a cyan, it's a particular line type and it's 0.25 mm line weight. If I scan across a little bit, it's used for center lines. So that's what happens when you utilize that drop down, it allows you to draw the object on the appropriate layer, the geometry gets…
