Create and edit a bill of materials with structure
- [Instructor] You can also create a Bill of Materials using Structure in AutoCAD Mechanical. Now, we've got a new drawing for that, it's called BillOfMaterials_STRUCTURE.dwg and again, you can download it from the library to follow along with the video. What we need to do is make sure that we go to our Workspace Switching down here on the Status Bar and make sure that we go to Structure like so, and that'll tie in our structure settings. So, we've got the structure catalog here, we can close that. And you can see now, in the Mechanical Browser, we've got our structure here like so. If I expand out the drive system, you can see we've got lots of different parts in the assembly. And what I can do here is I can select DRIVE SYSTEM1, right click and you'll notice now, I can create a Create Assembly BOM. So if I do that, there's my Bill of Materials and you can there's DRIVE SYSTEM, SHAFT DRIVE, bracket, et cetera. Now, I'm looking at the DRIVE SYSTEM at the moment, which is fine and…
