Using the Circuit Clipboard
- We're staying in our demo. 11 DWG file in our WD demo project. We're going to take a look now at the circuit clipboard you can find the circuit clipboard on the schematic tab on the ribbon in surprise surprise the circuit clipboard panel here where we can cut, copy, clip and paste. Now it's not your regular windows clipboard where you do the Ctrl+C Ctrl+V or right click copy, right click cut. Right click paste, et cetera. It's not like that. It's specifically for reusing and pasting and copying circuits in a complex AutoCAD electrical tool set drawing. So what we're going to do first is we're going to do a cut. So I'm going to go up to the circuit clipboard here and click on cut, like so, and come into the drawing area. It's now asking for a base point where I'm cutting from. So this is the clever bit. So if I do a shift and a right click now and I use a center snap on this snap override menu and go to this one here…
