Using Mapcheck
- [Man] Let's take a look at the Mapcheck tool. To locate the map check tool, go to the Survey tab on the ribbon, and the Analyze panel, at the very top, we have Mapcheck. Here, we'll get a new dialog box where we can create a new Mapcheck and then enter in all the bearings and distances for lines and curves, and then check that for closure. So to begin, we're going to click this icon here that has the star, and pay attention to the command line here, and we're going to name this Mapcheck. I'll call this property. And the next step is to specify our point of beginning, so I'm going to start in the lower left corner, and here we'll use the Endpoint snap, select that node, you can see here we have an assumed coordinate of 5,000, 5,000. And next is selecting a label. So the accuracy of this Mapcheck is going to be based off of the precision of the bearing and the distance shown in the plan. So, if this isn't a normal precision that you would use, you would want to adjust your label so…
