- [Instructor] We're going to have a look now at the command line in AutoCAD, which is a throwback to the older AutoCAD versions way back when. When we used the original AutoCAD, say, 20 years ago the command line was one of the standard input methods. You had to type everything on the command line to basically execute any commands. Then Windows came along and gave us icons and windows to work with, and now we're in the AutoCAD Architecture that we've got now with the wonderful ribbon, and how everything's very visual and on the screen in front of you. The command line is located at the bottom of the AutoCAD Architecture screen, and as usual we're still in our floorplan.dwg file. So here's our command line, it's prompting me to type a command, so I click in the command line and I type the word, let's say, line. As soon as I do that, a nice suggestion menu appears, and as you can see there's the line command at the top of the list and as I move up and down the suggestion menu, it…
