Heat maps provide an enterprise view of the people impacted by all projects in an organization and provide leadership with an overall picture of the key impacts on business units over time and most importantly, contribute to decision-making around these impacts. There can also help manage change fatigue, which is often seen when too many changes are happening at once in an organization. Think of it as a planning and communication tool used for engagement and decision-making, which should be used well and updated often. Let's look at some key tips to create an effective change heat map. First, it's a living document that must be updated regularly.
