- When it comes to AI governance, external laws like the EU AI Act set broad guardrails, but it is your internal policy that ensures AI aligns with your organization's values and risk tolerance. Let's explore how to develop effective AI safety policies, keep innovation alive, and weave trust and safety insights into the process. A robust AI safety policy should answer three basic questions: who, the roles and responsibilities; what, the scope and the guidelines; and how, testing, review, and incident response. Now, let's talk about the key steps. Start by clarifying which AI systems your policy covers. Be specific.
