- Some organizations have a dedicated continuous improvement team. Does yours? If your organization has one, you should understand what they do, and if your organization does not, you should still understand what a dedicated team would do as you might find that function elsewhere in the organization. Everyone in organizations, individuals and teams, must play a part in continuous improvement. In the VUCA environment we operate within, being able to observe and adjust is crucial to surviving and thriving, and that means spending time not just doing your work, but also apportioning a reasonable amount of time for improving your work. But while you and your teams may be subject matter experts in what you do, you may need deep expertise in improvement methods. That's where a dedicated continuous improvement team comes in.
