Applying BACCM to agile analysis principles
- The agile manifesto provides us a set of values and principles to form an agile mindset. And a BACCM, Business Analysis Core Concept Model, provides us the core terms and concepts for a common language to describe business analysis. The BACCM is made up of six key concepts for analysis that apply to any approach BAs use. Let's look at each of the six core concepts. First, it's change. Change is defined as the act of transformation in response to a need. In agile, change is central to all the principles and values and all agile analysis principles. Next is need. Need is defined as a problem or opportunity to be addressed. The agile analysis principle of get real using examples helps us understand the need. Next is solution.
