- [Instructor] Welcome to another episode of After Effects Weekly. Eran Stern here with the left half of these octopus. So let's make him complete and also talk about variable strokes and how to animate them in After Effects. So I'll step out of full screen by pressing the tilde or Graph key, and then I'll show you that what I have here is a shape layer in the form of this octopus. I'll drill it down, and under its contents, I can see that I have one group named lines. Now under the lines group, I have a group of all the different paths or shapes that I drew ahead of time. All right, I'll close it up. I can say that I have a stroke here. It's a bit difficult to see what I'm doing here because the stroke is very thin. It's only two pixels wide, but I can click on this toggle mask and shape path visibility icon to hide the additional path that After Effects is drawing.
