Hillshades and slopes

Performing hillshade analysis and slope analysis on a digital terrain model or digital elevation model, is a great way to render your landscape in 2D so that you can understand what is actually going on. Let's try that now. If we go into our raster analysis and we bring in our NANAIMO_DEM file, there it is. I'm going to alter it slightly. So I'm going to double-click on the NANAIMO_DEM and change the color gradient from white to black and hit OK. So there's our context.
