Add users and computers to a domain
- [Instructor] Let's have a brief look at how we set-up users in our Active Directory server. We're logged into the Active Directory. And we can select Tools, Active Directory Users and Computers. Here we can see the cybex.com domain with its folders, including the default top-level Computers and Users folders. And there are also the top-level organizational units. And we'll be adding a new user into the Finance unit. To add this domain account, all we need to do is expand Finance, right-click Users and say New, User. So we'll enter the first name as Peter. The last name as Walker. The logon name is pwalker55. We can now put in his password. Let's put in an initial password. Changeme-gen22. And again, changeme-gen22. There are, of course, very good reasons not to use predictable passwords in a production environment, but nevertheless, it's not an unusual approach. We can now select the account. And if we check…
