- [Instructor] Defining operations is a focused, detailed, process-oriented effort. For the next few videos, we're going to walk through defining operations for enterprise mobility management. In this video, we'll look at defining device acquisition operations. As covered earlier, there are usually two ways a device is acquired for work purposes: either the device is acquired by the organization or by the user. When considering device acquisition operations, we can ignore devices acquired by users, since that's all taken care of by the users themselves. For the organization, there are a few considerations that should be documented for organizational device acquisition. Here are the most common ones. When should a device be acquired? When organizations purchase devices, they do so based on a documented need. More often than not, the need is a direct request to the IT department through a ticketing request system…
