(upbeat music) - [Instructor] How did you do? Let's compare what you did with my solution. Let's start by calculating Doug's hours on the task now that the network admin is helping. Originally, Doug was assigned to work 24 hours over three days to prepare the equipment list. When you add people to tasks, you have to take into account time they spend communicating. In this example, you assume that Doug and the network admin will each spend two hours on that. You're assigning the network admin to work 12 hours on the task, and two hours is communication. So she has 10 hours to work on the equipment list itself. To calculate Doug's hours, first, subtract the network admin's 10 hours from the original 24 hours. That means Doug will spend 14 hours on the equipment list. Next, add the two hours he spends on communication. That means Doug's hours are 14 plus two or a total of 16.
