Importing data into new Project records
- [Instructor] Say you're a project manager and you've received task and resource info from your team in an Excel workbook, you can import that data into new records in an existing Project file, and you can choose the data to import and the Project fields it imports too. Excel spreadsheets are great data sources because you can import more than one worksheet at a time. In this workbook, I have a tasks worksheet with information about tasks and a resources worksheet with a few resources that I want to import. To import data, we're going to go to the file tab and then click open. So we're going to browse on the computer and I'm going to go to my exercise files that I have on the desktop. I'll go to the folder for chapter three, and I have to set the file type to Excel workbook. Then I'll select the file, import_0303, and click open. That opens up the import wizard.
