- [Speaker] To start with, make sure the database exercise file for this movie is open. And if you're prompted, go ahead and click on enable content. Before we start exploring accesses features in too much detail, we need data. So how about we import some that has been prepared a little bit earlier. The data set that we're about to work with for this course is California Employment Stats, which I've sourced from the California Open Data portal. This data goes all the way back to 1990, so it's a great one to work with, especially when it comes to identifying trends. Let's go ahead and click on the external data menu here and then select new data source from file. Then select Excel, and the one that we're looking for is called Employment data, which should be on your desktop in the downloaded exercise file pack.
