How to be open to different perspectives

- When you're open to a wider range of different perspectives, you're fostering stronger empathy and understanding, and more effective communication. You can encourage dialogue and exchange of ideas by asking open-ended questions. When you do this, show genuine curiosity about others' viewpoints and motivations. Really seek to understand the reasoning behind their beliefs or opinions. This may not always be easy to do, but try to do it anyway because you will get some really good insights from doing so. Embrace too the possibility that your own perspective may evolve and change over time, and be willing to reconsider your beliefs and opinions in light of new information or different viewpoints. Being open means acknowledging that everyone's view is valid. Views are not fact, but they are valid and everyone has different views, different perspectives, different values.
