(bright music) - [Instructor] So radio resource control is the protocol which exists between the user equipment and the gNodeB at the layer three at the IP level. And it has certain important functions, and one of that is the system information broadcast, which are the SIP messages. These are really critical for having a connection between the device and the network, because through these messages, the user equipment will be able to fetch certain important parameters about the network configuration. It has certain idea about which PLMN this particular network belongs to. It also has certain information about the threshold for cell selection or cell reselection. How does a user come to know that it has to connect to this particular network depending upon the PLMN identity, and then depending upon the signal strength, if it is below certain threshold, how does that user know that this is the threshold beyond which I'll not be able to latch to this particular network that is being…
