Creating primitives interactively with the mouse

In the previous movie, we saw how to create a primitive using keyboard entry. Now we'll use the interactive method, which is clicking and dragging the mouse in order to set the various parameters for a primitive. Because the primitives all have different parameters, the method that you need to follow for clicking and dragging is going to vary for each primitive. So you may need to click and drag in a different pattern to create a sphere versus a box versus a cylinder. Let's start with a sphere because that's the simplest. It really just has a center and a radius. Over in the Create panel, under Geometry, Standard Primitives, click the button labeled Sphere. And now we're in Sphere Creation mode. Go over to the Perspective view and click and hold the mouse button down. When you click, you're creating the position or the center of the sphere, and then when you drag outward or inward, you're setting the radius, and we can see the numbers change over there in the Create panel.
