- [Narrator] How to quickly create a dropdown list for Excel data. So in this case, I want to make sure that the right factory location is entered and there's only three cities down here, it's Seattle, Shanghai, Munich. Now first let's select all of the cells that I want to have this in. So I've selected those, now go to the data tab here and we're going to click data validation. Over here on allow we're going to drop this down and choose list and then the source. So I'm going to click the little up arrow. I will select these three cells here, Seattle, Shanghai and Munich, and then go back and click the little down arrow. And there's my source selected. I hit, okay. Now you see a little dropdown so just click it and choose the city you want.
