Taltran Global is working with a highly successful and privately held family enterprise with diversified global operations and is seeking a Tax Manager to join its Family Office in greater Houston. The organization manages substantial investments and assets for high-net-worth individuals and family members, maintaining a long-standing reputation for stability, integrity, and growth.


The Tax Manager will play a key role in overseeing individual and family-related tax compliance and planning, coordinating with external advisors, and optimizing tax strategies across the family’s holdings. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, relationship-oriented tax professional who thrives in a close-knit, sophisticated environment.


Role Summary:


  • Preparing and reviewing Family Office accounting records
  • Preparing and reviewing individual tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations
  • Building impactful relationships as the individual tax representative with the Family Office, and the owners
  • Collaborate with Core Business tax professionals within the organization to coordinate efforts, share knowledge, and ensure efficient and effective delivery of tax jobs
  • Building and maintaining working relationships with tax consulting firms
  • Optimize owners’ personal income tax position
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and proactively apply new knowledge to client engagements.
  • Mentoring and coaching Family Office accountants and related team members for US tax requirements
  • Participate in training programs and professional development activities to enhance technical knowledge and develop industry-specific expertise
  • This is an onsite role


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent field is required
  • 6+ to 8 years of tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or public/Corporate mix in individual taxation


Preferred/Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in taxation or relevant field
  • Experience with high-net-worth individual taxations
  • Experience with Cross board individual tax transactions
  • CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent Certification preferred
  • CFP is desired
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is desired
