As a Sales Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of solution delivery, bridging technical expertise and business value. You’ll educate prospects, design technical solutions, and help close deals by translating complex cybersecurity capabilities into actionable outcomes. This role is ideal for candidates with a technical background (IT admin, Linux admin, endpoint or infrastructure operations) looking to step into a solution-focused, client-facing position.


🧩 Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Sales team to qualify opportunities and drive deals through the pipeline using demos, proof-of-concepts, and trials.
  • Engage with senior technical stakeholders (CISO, SecOps, IT Ops, Infrastructure) to understand configuration risks, drift, and compliance needs, and map solutions accordingly.
  • Architect and propose customer-specific solutions across endpoints, servers, VMs, and cloud environments.
  • Conduct in-depth technical discovery, identifying configuration gaps, misconfigurations, and policy drift, and demonstrate the value of continuous monitoring and auto-remediation.
  • Lead product demos, workshops, and technical presentations for technical and executive audiences.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, addressing technical questions, architecture concerns, and ensuring a smooth handoff to implementation teams.
  • Monitor market and product trends, provide competitive insights, and contribute to sales collateral and messaging.
  • Collect field feedback to inform product improvements and highlight customer priorities.
  • Work remotely across the U.S., with travel as needed to support sales efforts.


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on technical experience in IT administration, systems administration, endpoint operations, Linux administration, or infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, or Linux operating systems, configuration baselines, drift, and policy enforcement.
  • Comfortable navigating complex enterprise sales cycles and technical discussions.
  • Excellent presentation, demo, and communication skills.
  • Self-starter, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-moving environment.
  • Based in the U.S. (East Coast preferred) or able to cover territory up to Texas.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST), endpoint security tools, or SaaS cybersecurity solutions.
