SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Packaging Regional Sales Manager to lead our Outside Sales team in the Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas area. This role is responsible for driving revenue and margin growth across a defined territory by building a high-performance sales culture, developing top sales talent, and executing strategic growth plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Outside Sales Executives to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and margin objectives.
Foster a culture of accountability, trust, and performance across the sales team.
Recruit, train, and develop top-tier sales talent with a focus on continuous improvement and growth.
Work directly with sales reps, engineering, and packaging equipment and materials vendors to drive machine and material sales.
Use CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to drive sales performance, monitor pipeline activity, and ensure execution of individual and team sales plans.
Coordinate purchasing and sales efforts across the region in alignment with company best practices.
Conduct comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training for new and existing sales team members.
Maintain and grow relationships with top regional accounts (Top 10).
Provide regular coaching, feedback, and quarterly performance reviews for all direct reports.
Lead and/or participate in regular sales meetings to drive alignment and share best practices.
Prepare and manage annual budgets and regional sales forecasts.
Collaborate with internal departments (purchasing, operations, marketing) to ensure alignment with territory objectives.
Stay up to date on regional customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners and introduce new products aligned with strategic opportunities.
Present and negotiate pricing programs to customers in the assigned territory.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, serving as a role model for integrity and professionalism.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3+ years of sales management experience, preferably in packaging or industrial distribution.
Bachelor’s degree (B.B.A. or B.S.) preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
Solid understanding of packaging materials and equipment is required. Familiarity with key equipment and material vendors is preferred.
Proven track record in strategic sales planning and execution.
Must have strong leadership skills, deep industry knowledge of packaging equipment, and a proven ability to manage both people and processes in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
