A national IT staffing and consulting organization is seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter & Delivery Manager to join its New York City team.
This is a hands-on, non-transactional role for someone who not only recruits top IT talent, but also “delivers the package” presenting complete candidate teams to clients and actively managing those consultants through the critical early phase of their engagement.
What You’ll Do
Client & Stakeholder Partnership
Meet with senior technology and business leaders to understand project goals, technical requirements, and staffing needs.
Translate complex technical and organizational needs into clear recruiting and delivery plans.
Present staffing solutions and complete teams to high-level IT leaders and hiring managers.
Full-Cycle Technical Recruiting
Own full-cycle recruiting for a wide range of IT roles (e.g., software engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, data, security, project/program management, IT operations).
Proactively source, evaluate, and close high-end IT professionals for contract and project-based work.
Build and maintain deep talent pipelines for recurring and strategic client needs.
Delivery & Early Engagement Management
Assemble and coordinate high-performing project teams tailored to specific client initiatives.
Oversee onboarding and the first phase of the consultants’ assignments to ensure smooth integration and rapid productivity.
Serve as the primary point of contact for consultants and client managers during project kickoff and ramp-up.
Monitor performance, address issues early, and ensure quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
Project & Operations Coordination
Partner closely with internal operations, account management, and sales to ensure successful project start-up and delivery.
Track project status, start dates, extensions, and key milestones.
Support light staffing-related sales activities as needed (sales is secondary to delivery and recruiting).
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in IT recruiting combined with delivery or project management responsibilities (e.g., managing contractors/consultants, early-stage engagement oversight).
Strong technical acumen and comfort recruiting across diverse technical disciplines and seniority levels.
Demonstrated ability to communicate confidently with high-end IT managers and executives as well as build rapport with senior technical talent.
Solid understanding of IT project environments (project management, IT operations, implementation work, etc.).
Stable, consistent track record of performance in staffing, consulting, or a similar environment.
Sharp judgment and strong decision-making skills in candidate selection, team design, and delivery issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; polished, professional, and credible in front of demanding stakeholders.
Ability to travel up to 30%.
Must be based in New York City.
