Job Title: Multibody Simulation (ADAMS) Engineer
Location: Novi, MI
Employment Type: Full-Time / Onsite
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Multibody Simulation (MBD) Engineer with strong expertise in ADAMS/Car and Virtual Road Load Data (vRLDA) generation to support full-vehicle dynamics, load prediction, and NVH analysis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building, correlating, and analyzing complex vehicle models to deliver high-quality simulation results that drive robust vehicle design decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain high-fidelity full-vehicle ADAMS/Car models including tire models (F-Tire) and digitized road profiles.
Generate time- and frequency-domain loads/forces using vehicle simulations for durability and NVH studies.
Perform NVH load cascade analyses using RLDA measured spindle inputs.
Conduct Ride & Handling analyses using MSC ADAMS/Car and interpret results to support chassis and suspension design.
Execute static and dynamic load generation studies using ADAMS/Car and ADAMS/View environments.
Create and maintain macros and scripts to automate simulation tasks, ensuring efficiency and repeatability.
Collaborate with design and test teams to correlate simulation results with physical measurements at subsystem and full-vehicle levels.
Support the development of system-level mechanism simulation models for vehicle performance prediction.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, automotive, or aerospace engineering or a related field.
3–8 years of experience in Multibody Dynamics (MBD) simulation for automotive applications.
Hands-on experience with MSC ADAMS/Car, ADAMS/View, and F-Tire modeling.
Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, NVH load analysis, and RLDA techniques.
Experience with macro scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or ADAMS commands) for automation and data processing.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a cross-functional environment involving design, testing, and simulation teams.
