About the Role

Our client is a rapidly scaling aerospace manufacturing company modernizing one of the most critical but overlooked segments of the aviation supply chain. Backed by top-tier investors, they are rebuilding the specialized manufacturing infrastructure needed to power next-generation aerospace hardware.

They are seeking a Controller with strong audit, consolidation, and operational accounting experience to lead the accounting function, prepare the company for future audits, and manage multi-entity consolidations. This role is essential to enhancing financial rigor, improving reporting accuracy, and supporting real-time operational decision-making.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee and prepare the company for future audits.
• Lead consolidation of subsidiary financials, including selecting and implementing an appropriate consolidation system.
• Identify and resolve accounting deficiencies at newly acquired subsidiaries—especially related to cost and inventory accounting.
• Own the accounting and reporting function for the parent company and all acquired entities.
• Implement standardized accounting processes, internal controls, procedures, and financial policies.
• Elevate financial reporting and operational tracking for a fast-scaling organization.

Must-Have Qualifications

These are essential for consideration:

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in audit at a Big Four or Mid-Tier accounting firm, plus in-house corporate accounting experience.
• Audit experience at a Big Four / Mid-Tier firm (non-negotiable).
• Experience as a Corporate Controller.
• Experience with consolidations across multiple entities.

Credentials

• CPA certification (required).

Hard Skills

• Expert knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management.
• Strong proficiency with accounting ERP systems.
• Ability to identify, diagnose, and rectify accounting deficiencies.

Soft Skills

• Exceptional communication skills—able to think quickly, distill complex concepts, and communicate clearly.

Other Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR regulations.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

(Not required, but beneficial)

• Experience working in high-growth hardware or manufacturing environments.
• Exposure to M&A integration or rapid multi-entity expansion.
• Experience implementing audit-readiness programs at a scaling company.
• Familiarity with aerospace, defense, or regulated industrial sectors.
• Comfort supporting strategic finance tasks (modeling, scenario planning, capital allocation) as the role evolves.
