This release notes article elaborates on all features and enhancements that are released to at least a portion of our users in Sales Navigator in the time frame of October to December 2024.
Sales Navigator user updates
Lead IQ in Sales Navigator enables you to access powerful lead information, with a single click. Using Lead IQ, you can easily access an AI-generated summary of key information on a lead, and their company that will improve your first interaction with the lead. With this feature, you can learn about a lead's interests, recent activities on LinkedIn and key information on their company - all of which goes a long way into making sure your first conversation with the lead is productive and valuable.
The insights on a lead are based on the following:
- LinkedIn public profile of a lead
- Their public activity on LinkedIn such as recent posts
- Public connections or network-related insights
- Strategic priorities and business challenges of a lead's company or account (generated by Account IQ)
The Lead IQ feature is enabled by default. When you access a lead page in Sales Navigator, you will notice a Lead IQ tab. From this tab, click Generate Lead IQ to have insights on the lead generated as a summary for you. Lead IQ is also available on the Lead Panel. This feature is currently in a beta phase, and will grow in coverage and capabilities over time.

Account IQ enables you to access powerful account insights with a single click. Rather than searching across the web for relevant company insights and get up to speed quickly, Account IQ will provide an easy access summary of key information at a company. This feature will enable you to improve buyer-seller conversations, and have more productive conversations by understanding strategic priorities, likely pain points, financials, and even what their employees are talking about on LinkedIn.
Following enhancements have been introduced in Account IQ:
- Personalized insights on accounts - After entering your product details, receive insights on why your product is a best fit for the target account, and how best you can tailor your solution to their business needs.
- Improved account coverage - Account IQ now provides information on companies that have 50 to 200 employees. Earlier this threshold was set at 200+ employees.
- Account page re-design - Account pages now have a more intuitive design making it easier for you to access information. If you prefer to use the earlier design of the account page, then click Switch to classic view.
- Improved data quality - Public USA-based companies will now include SEC filings as a source to enhance insights.

To deliver more value to a seller's workflows, Sales Navigator insights are available on LinkedIn. Following are the enhancements introduced this release:

Sales Navigator notifications on LinkedIn - To bring you more value for your sales processes, the Notifications tab in your LinkedIn.com account will show you Sales Navigator-related notifications. This feature allows you to have actionable insights on saved and potential leads.

Enhanced Lead insights on LinkedIn profiles - Following are the enhancements introduced:
- Insights summary - a high-level overview of the profile that highlights persona match, key signals, and warm paths in.
- Key signals - displays information that help you determine if the lead is a good fit, along with insights on whether they were recently promoted or follow your company.
- Get introduced - highlights warm paths in, and provides you with the option to use AI-powered messaging to get introduced to potential leads.

Enhanced Account IQ insights on Company pages - Lead insights on Company pages is now available on the Sales Navigator mobile app. Also, Account IQ on Company pages includes deeper insights available to you in your LinkedIn.com account.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a type of multi-factor authentication (MFA) that involves two separate steps to verify your identity. For LinkedIn, you'll be asked to enter your account password as the first layer of verification and a pin code as the second layer of verification. The pin code will be sent to your phone (using SMS or an authenticator app) that you'll then use to access your LinkedIn accounts. Two-factor authentication can greatly reduce unauthorized access to most accounts by identifying new or unknown computers or devices.
LinkedIn requires that every Sales Navigator user enables two-factor authentication on their individual LinkedIn account to help secure their accounts and data.

User settings are an integral part of Sales Navigator to ensure that you experience a personalized engagement with the product. To continue to ensure that your personalized needs are met, the User Settings page in Sales Navigator has been re-designed. The page now includes a navigator bar on the left pane, making it easier for you to move to sections or settings that you care most about.
From the re-designed User settings page, you can also add products and services that you or your company sells to personalize AI-assisted insights that is surfaced to you on an account page using Account IQ.
