ATS Enhanced Data Sync is a LinkedIn Recruiter feature that continuously pulls data from your ATS (Applicant Tracking System) via Recruiter System Connect (RSC), ensuring your candidate and job information on LinkedIn is always up-to-date and consistent. It fills in missing details (like resumes) and corrects data inconsistencies by merging ATS data with LinkedIn, which provides a more complete view of each candidate. This improved data accuracy powers other LinkedIn Talent Solutions features like Hiring Assistant and enhanced reporting, making your hiring workflow smoother without any change in data privacy or security.
Important to know
Please review the following frequently-asked questions on how enabling Enhanced Data Sync changes the way LinkedIn accesses ATS data through Recruiter System Connect (RSC).
Authorizing Enhanced Data Sync helps us deliver a better hiring experience across Recruiter System Connect (RSC) powered features like ATS Connected Projects (Hiring Assistant) and ATS-enabled reporting. It allows LinkedIn to use ATS API calls to continuously monitor and improve data quality in RSC, retrieving data from your ATS and merging it with existing RSC ATS data to correct inconsistencies. Using both standard RSC and Enhanced Data Sync data sources improves the accuracy and completeness of RSC data. For example, turning on Enhanced Data Sync may backfill missing resume data, unlocking value through ATS Connected Projects.
This change does not affect RSC data processing and privacy. All security measures and data processing and storage mechanics are the same. Previously, your ATS would push data to LinkedIn through an integration with LinkedIn’s API. In addition, LinkedIn can now pull data directly from your ATS by connecting through your ATS’s authorization credentials (OAuth token or API Key) that you provide. RSC records may be retroactively changed using the ATS data that we pull, but we will not delete historical records. The main change in data processing is we will now be able to retrieve data directly through your ATS's authorization credentials, allowing us to refresh data more frequently and ensure the highest data accuracy.
Important to know
LinkedIn is actively expanding the list of RSC partners that support Enhanced Data Sync, which is required to power ATS Connected Projects. Current supported partners include Greenhouse.
You can find all RSC partners listed here. Even if your ATS provider doesn't currently support Enhanced Data Sync, we encourage you to configure RSC now to unlock efficiency gains and ensure you’re ready to benefit from improved data quality as more partners are added.
As with a standard RSC connection, you can disable Enhanced Data Sync at any time via your integration settings. Keep in mind that opting out may limit the functionality of RSC and related products.
Once Enhanced Data Sync is disabled, LinkedIn will only display the standard data originally shared through the RSC integration—excluding any additional data accessed via Enhanced Data Sync—from that point forward. You can request to delete your ATS data at any time by contacting ltsatsintegrations@linkedin.com. If you want to disable RSC entirely, find instructions here.
